Bring a medium-sized pan of water to a heavy boil.
Crack 2 eggs right into a Glad zip bag. (I used Glad bags, ziplock brand bags tasted funny)
Drop baggie into the boiling water. Boil for 13 minutes. (This is for 1 serving, I prepared 5 at the same time on the show, and it took about 20 min of boiling)
Carefully, remove baggie from the water. Open the bag, there will be steam inside....and roll the omelette onto a plate. Top with cheese, salt and pepper to taste. YUM!

Thanks for all the get well wishes!
The cat scan confirms, 2 broken ribs... # 8 & 9.
I fell during Girl's Weekend at a friend's pool, an NO, I wasn't drunk! I had the 1st drink of the day in my hand, and I simply slipped!

I've been getting lots of requests for my famous Flobster recipe...
Flounder that tastse like Lobster..
Flounder or Halibut Filets
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup salt
In a large pot, boil enough water to cover fish well. Add sugar and salt. (rule of thumb is twice as much sugar as salt)
Stir and dissolve, then place fresh or thawed flounder (halibut, cod or most any white fish works too) into water. Gently boil until fish turns opaque. 5 minutes max! Too long and it will flake too much. The fish will probably float. Watch carefully. Using a slotted spoon, take out fish and put in bowl or on a platter. Drizzle melted butter on top.
Great on its own, in fish tacos, faux lobster Benedict, YUMMY

St Petersburg, Russia - Radical Russian artists painted a giant "protest penis" on a drawbridge in central St Petersburg ahead of a meeting that is the Russian answer to the World Economic Forum. The phallus rises and glistens against the imperial-era capital's elegant skyline. When the bridge is fully erect, it , stands beside the local headquarters of the FSB, successor to the KGB.
Being a Big Brother doesn't mean being a perfect role model. It means being yourself with a new friend. Each of us had a special person in our life who opened doors and widened our horizons to the world. As a Big, you can do the same for a child.

Hello Dean and Rog,
I'm very nervous as I begin this process of writing to you, so thank you for bearing with me as I try to get Thom's story out there. I am the widow of the late Thomas Jesse Shurley, who passed away last August, after receiving a small scratch on the front of his shins while fishing. Thom and I lived on the water our entire lives, and had never heard of a flesh destroying bacteria that lives near oyster reefs, vibrio vulnificus. I have become an advocate to get his story out there, and I chose to write to you guys because he loved your morning program so much. I can't remember a time during our life together (17 yrs) that he did not listen to you. I remember one time you guys went to go get some baseball player (Roger Clements, maybe) to come back to Houston and he was so excited about that! He listened to you faithfully.
I miss him very much, as do his children, grandchildren and his mother. If it seems I am rambling, I am... but here is the bottom line; millions of women in the Houston area and southeast Texas in general watch their husbands go fishing with the guys every dayweekend.. and millions of us have lived here our entire lives without ever knowing anything about such things as vibrio. I believe that a few simple precautions might have saved Thom's life, and perhaps prevented his contracting this bacteria all together. If Thom's story can help save any other woman from going through the things I went through, then it's worth it to come out of my shell and tell his story. I really, really want to get the word out and I thought you guys might be interested in helping me.
A lot of comments were made on Channel 11, after I gave an interview to them last year, about cleaning the wound, and how the petrochemical industry has tainted the water in Galveston Bay, blah, blah, blah. I would like to share about Thom and how he cleaned the scratch with an over-the-counter antiseptic solution, to no avail.. how he thought he had the flu and had twisted his knee, and how this horrible bacteria is supposed to be in the water, as it occurs naturally. It is produced by oysters and oyster reefs and occurs whenever water reaches above 20 degrees celsius. Of even more interest is the fact that until Thom's death, I worked as an environmental tech in the petrochemical industry. I spent my life protecting our waterways from man-made contaminants, and yet Thom died from a bacteria that is supposed to be there. I have not worked since Thom died, but imagine I will again one day. Life without him has been sad for me.
I'm sure that it's difficult to follow the story in this e-mail, so I hope you will contact me at dmshurley@hotmail.com and help me to gather his story into a cohesive piece about the life of a fabulous red-neck that was an inspiration to everyone he met, and talk about the things he loved... fishing, sports, drinking beer and pretty girls. Just like y'all.
Thanks for bearing with me through this e-mail. I am generally considered a quiet and somewhat shy lady so this is a big step for me, but I just feel led to do it and wonder if I will regret it if I don't at least try.
Any consideration is sincerely appreciated. Thank you, once again.
Donna Marie Shurley
widow of the late Thomas Jesse Shurley
